Army And Media Effort

Pakistan at the moment is going through a huge disaster. Flood has completely demolished infrastructure and communication network to empower a complete chaos. But from other side Pakistani Press and Electronic Media spark of hope in the dark. Army working as a mainstream rescuing for Pakistanis . Pak-Army working together to give hope , saving lives and rescuing at its best , on the other side Media is ahead in covering most of moments.

Media is a very vital organ of society, plays a pivotal role in bringing people together. Army is always regarded as pride of any Nation. At this crucial stage when civil administration completely looked in disarray , Army with an extreme positive attitude rescued many women , children and men to a safe place where they are provided complete medical care , food and other necessities.

Media on the other hand has tried to present magnitude of destruction and problems faced by people. Here I would like to salute the brave reporters, anchor persons and their crew , the way they have risked their lives during coverage in extreme dangerous situation.

One of the News Channels “Express News” initiated a Help Line service for Flood victims so quickly within 2-3 days just to help Flood victims. And continuously providing Food , Shelters and clothes. We must salute this News Channel for this work.

But it is the spirit which has bought people of Pakistan together in this huge crisis. The civil society is actively playing a part to contribute in relief operation. Media has actually shown to the world that Pakistan is in a situation which is more terrible than Tsunami and Haiti Earthquake. For this work , the “RED CROSS ” has urged a Pakistani Media to continue reporting of flood disaster as their top priority.

PFDC Schedule

The iconic courtier Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) is set to close PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2015 with “INK”; a collection inspired by Asia and specifically HSY’s journeys to The Land of Rising Sun.

INK represents the essence of Langkawi, Indonesia, Nagasaki, and Yunnan with natural and indigenous yarns, hand-woven to perfection. Expect the traditional dyeing techniques of Shibori from Nagasaki, Batik from Indonesia, and Gara from Sierra Leone infused with mackintosh, saffron, aubergine, eggshell, rosette, indigo and ochre. Created with the scorching sub continental summer in mind, INK channels versatile hemlines to suit a diversity of younger, older, working men, women and homemakers alike.

Big names that will be missed in this edition of PSFW are:

Fashion giants such as Elan, Shehla Chatoor and Ali Xeeshan are missing from the roster. One may wonder why they choose to miss out on one of the biggest fashion showcases of the year. Ali Xeeshan may be boycotting the event after an unpleasant incident last year at PFDC L’Oreal Bridal Week but what about the rest?

PSFW 2015 kicks off on 18 April and will end on 21 April.
