The reports say that V Chamundeswaranath, former secretary of the Andhra Cricket Association and close friend of the Sania Mirza family, hinted that the family was indeed contemplating postponing the marriage.
In a chat with The Hindu, he reportedly said, “Let me make it clear that they have not decided to postpone officially but are keeping the options open.”
“Given the way things have turned around since morning, it is apparent that Sania and her parents are clearly perturbed at the ‘media war’ launched by the Ayesha Siddiqui family. The Mirzas are very particular that the wedding should take place in a much better mood and frame of mind,” he explained in the chat.
Reports in media also say that Shoaib’s brother-in-law is arriving today in Hyderabad. With the Pakistan government strongly supporting the former skipper, sources say that the PCB may remove ban imposed on Malik.
Ayesha Siddiqui has claimed that she is the first wife of Shoaib Malik and he should publically divorce her before his marriage with tennis star Mirza.
Siddiquis have filed a complaint with the Hyderabad police, who questioned the cricketer yesterday and seized his passport. He is not allowed to leave the country till the investigations are done.
However, there is no official confirmation of the same.
