Soon as soon ramzan is coming in other words we say the month of profiteering are coming , normally in ramaza in every nation and country reduce the price goods during the ramzan but in Pakistan people make ramazn for get profit and consider this month “ the month of profiteering “

People of Pakistan already face very difficulties with increasing price of petroleum good and spiraling inflation. How can mange the budget of poor and middle class families

Govt . is not able to control the price of good specially is ramzan ?Rising prices have always been a major problem for the people of Pakistan. Unfortunately, however, the problem only seems to aggravate further in Ramadan ever year.Ramzan is said to be the month of blessings but rising prices of each and every commodity make this a month full of troubles and worries.

It is painful for people of the poor and middle classes due to rising inflation in the country.

Lets play with public

Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) reported the prices of perishable food items rose by 20.76% that is right after the increase of 16.36% in the prices of electricity and fuel over the last year [period: July – June 2010]. Average inflation in food prices is 14.48% and inflation in non-perishable items counted 13.64%

The above mentioned figures are the reflection of yearly increase in prices but let us see how prices are indicating that the holy month of Ramadan is coming. A week before a national business newspaper conducted a survey.

As per survey the price of gram floor [Basin] has increased from PKR 60 to 70 / kg. The price of Sugar has increased from PKR 60 to 70. The price of Dalda Ghee rose to PKR 725 from 680 / 5kg. The price of tomato has risen to PKR 40 from 25 / kg. The price of onion has risen to PKR 40 from 25 / kg. The price of Mango has risen to PKR 70 from PKR 50 / kg. Even the increase is on popup over all items that shall be in demand in the month of Ramadan.

I can not count more because this is not something that you can not witness once you reach the markets. But this situation is nothing but a dilemma of our national planning over common commodity prices and their availability. I know people expect us to write solutions of national problems. But what solution I can write. If sugar is in the stocks of the mills so get it out and if it is not available so buy it from international market that is even cheaper once duties shall be exempted. The same is the strategy for all that matters.

Even it is not the part of today’s topic but I remember when our ministers said a month before that the electricity crisis is not because of the government’s mismanagement. They quoted it an outcome of natural shortage of water in our reservoirs.

Ramadan is the holy month. It is a pure blessing of Allah but what if the blessing is being ruined by the people on surface. What we can say to the government who manage mismanagement. Are we as qualified people behind anyone? The one who sells dresses [even master them on low cost] sells expensive on Eid ul Fitar. Everyone is chasing for earnings.

Ramzan Inflation

We have a lot of poor people in the country who can not make their both end meets. We have people in the country who keeps fast and after breaking it keeps hunger. I know it is hard to absorb but it is not solely the government that make them hurt but we are also not so responsible in many regards.

Regardless of this crying attitude of ours over inflation many of us shall spend thousands on preparation of Eid. In a city where a person buys a dress of five to twenty thousand for Eid, we have some families that need the same amount to manage their month on minimum standard. We can say that we equally give 2.5% Zakat so we have a right to do so. But people ask your heart. Can we?

Today I am not talking about the measures government can take to coupe inflation but let me talk about my responsibility. Let me talk about your responsibility. Believe me the happiness of wearing expensive dress, shoes, bangles etc. is not more than feeding people in their stressed economic life style. It is far better when it is the month of Ramadan. You can go to the market and buy expensive KURTA for Alwida Juma and Eid Prayer but God can even hear you in the simplest basic getup.

Everyone knows his buying power. Get together, cut your budgets of buying on Ramadan & Eid and make a pool of money within your lanes, localities etc. that can work for those who are even deprive of the basic. This is the solution in hand.

Our Govt is not worthy of any solution regarding any social problem. It is our duty and our social responsibility to help those who are deprive of basic needs.

Today’s hottest news revolving around the music industry is, the very famous JAL the band with Gohar Mumtaz, Farhan Saeed and their third bassist Shazi got separated. This is not new with this band since the beginning. From the starting days with a wonder hit Aadat and band members Atif Aslam and Gohar Mumtaz, the band got into all sort of controversies and both Atif Aslam and Gohar Mumtaz played the blame game and got parted ways just after 1 song and video. Both Atif Aslam and the remaining Jal The Band released their albums and become an instant hit in Pakistan and abroad.
After their first album release yet again JAL the band came into the news for all the wrong reasons. This time they had a fight with their manager and chairman of the Jilawatan Productions Khurram Khan and Gohar Mumtaz again. Gohar insisted the band to visit India without their manager since he cannot afford to miss this golden opportunity.

And now its between Farhan Saeed and Gohar Mumtaz. We have been told by the sources that Farhan Saeed is quite upset with the fact that Gohar Mumtaz is acting as a big hurdle in his success and keeping him down. Farhan Saeed having a charming voice with amazing numbers coming out from his side since his inclusion in the band however Gohar Mumtaz always jumped in with his rather out of tone voice and shivering guitar cords. Both Farhan and Goher recently participated in Coke Studio’s season 4 with 2 songs under their name. However both songs unable to make any impression within the program itself and gone with the wind. According to sources the rift between the band members got to another level after the Coke Studio episode and in Farhan’s opinion Gohar never listen to his ideas about doing music instead he was more interested into to get with Miss Baloch and therefore he insisted the producer to add her up for a song. However Farhan told us with a grin that QB was a smart girl and she knows well the type of Gohar Mumtaz. Farhan said he think that we can do allot better in Coke Studio if he gets more air time with the mic. Another major reason for Farhan’s depart is that Gohar has recently appeared in a drama on a-plus and he want to persue a career in acting as well.

Farhan said he want to continue making music and would like to work on his solo album in some time. He added that he has cherishable memories with the band and JAL the band was his identity and he will be always close to his heart. But it is very hard to work with a self centered punk as Gohar Mumtaz and that leads me to this decision.

China Welcomes Pakistan as a true friend

BEIJING: China pledged its support for close ally Pakistan on Tuesday, after the United States announced it would suspend $800 million worth of security aid to Islamabad.

“Pakistan is an important country in South Asia. The stability and development of Pakistan is closely connected with the peace and stability of South Asia,” foreign ministry spokesman Hong Lei told reporters.

“China has always provided assistance to Pakistan, helping it improve people’s livelihood and realise the sustainable development of its economy and society. China will continue to do so in the future.”

US President Barack Obama’s chief of staff, William Daley, announced in a television interview on Sunday that the United States had decided to withhold almost a third of its annual $2.7 billion security assistance to Islamabad.

Protest in Karachi

Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek – e – Insaaf chairman IMRAN KHAN stands in Karachi for the sovereignty of Pakistan against American and NATO surgical strikes and killing innocent people. Imran recently said in Peshawar protest , ‎”Pakistanis aren’t animals who can be killed by drones,” .”They have human rights, as Americans do.” He said in Karachi , “Innocent People of Pakistan” being killed by drone attacks in FATA.

Talking to the thousands of protesters in Karachi he said that about more than 37,000 people of Pakistan have been killed in the name of war on terror. He further said , Pakistan was forced to fight this war against terror which was not our’s.

The PTI chief said the rulers of the country were not sincere with the people and that the masses were fed up of unfulfilled promises.

Khan also asserted that the two days of sit-in will send a clear message to the leadership regarding the public opinion against the drone strikes in Pakistan.

Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2011-By Majid Mahmood-Team Infinity

The country in maximum power crisis, unstable economy a group of young automobile enthusiasts from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute are building a fuel efficient car that can travel the longest distance using the least amount of fuel. Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) is one of the most prestigious engineering institutes of Pakistan.

Shell Eco-Marathon is a global competition, being held in Europe for the over 2 decades, encouraging young engineers of tomorrow to come up with ingenious ideas to the energy crisis we are facing. The Shell Eco-Marathon challenges students around the world to design, build, and test vehicles that travel further using less energy in least amount of fuel consumption. GIKI’s Team Infinity is one of the select 20 teams from Pakistan selected by Shell based on the technical submissions of the car. Team Infinity will be representing Pakistan at Shell Eco-Marathon Asia 2011 which is to be held at the Sepang International Circuit in July 2011 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is the third successful year that teams from GIKI are participating in the Shell Eco Marathon and this year attempt to improve on the performance of the earlier teams and bring the award for the most fuel efficient car back home.

Team Infinity is a group of 11 young undergraduate engineering students and an experienced advisor Dr. Rizwan Akram, an Assistant Professor from the Faculty of Engineering sciences. Under the team manager Saad Bin Arif, the team has strong determinations to achieve maximum mileage from a single liter of fuel. Team Infinity will be building a fuel efficient car based on the ‘dolphin’ shape which has been proven to be the most aerodynamically feasible design known to man. The team has to make sure about things like safety, emissions (to protect the environment and go green). Not only is the safety of the person driving the car should be concerned but the safety manager, Affan Zia makes sure that each team member wears the safety equipment to avoid any injury.

Shell Eco Marathon this year will have 121 teams participating from all around Asia with the same purpose of building a car with maximum mileage. The main aim of the team is to bring the concept of fuel efficiency, green economy and smarter mobility to Pakistan. The team includes Dr. Rizwan Akram, Saad Bin Arif, Majid Mahmood, Khwaja Muhammad Falik, Minhaj Zaheer, Jahanzaib Bukhari, Muhammad Affan Zia, Umair Zeb, Zmarak Jan Bangash, Omar Waqar Khan, Ameer Hamza Janjua, Mohammed Ali Qureshi. US Drone Strikes in Pakistan

A non-UN-sanctioned US drone strike has claimed the lives of at least five people and left four others wounded in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal area of North Waziristan, local security forces reported.

The incident occurred on Thursday morning when a US drone aircraft fired missiles at a vehicle in the Datta Khel area, near the border with Afghanistan, a Press TV correspondent reported.

The United States frequently carries out such attacks on Pakistan’s tribal areas.

The aerial attacks, initiated by former Republican US President George W. Bush, have escalated under Democratic President Barack Obama, who had earlier promised major changes in the American militaristic policies.

The United States claims that the air raids target Pakistani militants, but Pakistani officials say many civilians are also killed in the attacks.

Meanwhile, Pakistani sources have stated that the US drone strikes kill 50 civilians for every one militant.

Islamabad has frequently slammed the United States over the drone attacks, saying they violate its sovereignty.

Indians targeting Pakistan

The “most-wanted list” was handed to Pakistan in March, its contents have only just been released. The timing of the release coincides with increasing pressure on Pakistan over claims it harboured Osama bin Laden.

Indian Home Secretary G.K. Pillai presented the list to his Pakistani counterpart, Qamar Zaman Choudhary, during a meeting in March, a senior government official with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

New Delhi has long accused Pakistan of harbouring militants such as the those behind the Mumbai attacks in 2008 that killed 166 people, who it says were supported by the country’s military intelligence agency, the ISI.

In addition to five serving majors in the Pakistan army, the list includes accused underworld leader Dawood Ibrahim, and suspected members of militant groups al Qaeda, Lakshar-e-Toiba and Jasih-e-Mohammed.

US special forces killed bin Laden at his home in a military town 50 km (30 miles) from Islamabad this month, leading to accusations that security agencies were either incompetent or sheltering the word’s most wanted man.

Nuclear-armed neighbours India and Pakistan have gone to war three times since 1947.

The two sides have been making tentative moves to revive a sluggish 2004 peace process that was broken off by New Delhi following the Mumbai attacks.

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Afghanistan “in the near future” to discuss security and development, a senior government official said on Wednesday, amid regional uncertainty following bin Laden’s death.

Any quickening of the endgame in Afghanistan is a concern for India, which fears a US withdrawal would leave it exposed to an unfriendly, Pakistan-dominated neighbourhood and unfettered militancy in its backyard.

People happiness near to increase with two days weekly Holidays for energy saving in Pakistan. Shops closing timings would be 8 pm , clocks would be advanced by one hour , Street Lights and Advertisement electric banners would be turned off at night. Despite of there is too much debate on two holidays a week , majority of common Pakistani’s support two days weekend. Although many of officials are not agree with such days incentive .

Shah Mehmood Qureshi - Former Pakistani Foreign Minister

On 7th May 2011 , Shah Mehmood Qureshi pointed current government in response to Abbotabad incident regarding USA operation.

He aggressively pointed Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and President Asif Ali Zardari that they both should resign and take aside from decision making of Pakistan. Qureshi and rest of the Pakistan left with some serious doubts of our defence and our allies co-ordination.

US forces entered into Pakistani Territory upto 300 Miles , operated for 47 minutes and went back safely. Some were saying , radars were jammed  , some says Pakistani defence radar system was shut down at that moment. The point is who are they to enter our territory ?

Anyhow , things changing and no one is sure whether they would be positive or negative.
