According to Forbes, Leonardo DiCaprio jumped from fifth to first place this year, stealing the spot from Johnny Depp.

DiCaprio’s estimated $77 million in earnings reflect the success of his two big films, “Shutter Island” and “Inception,” which earned a combined $1.2 billion.

Bumped down a peg (although it’s hard to feel bad for him), Depp moved from first to second place with earnings of $50 million, down from his $75 million recorded in Forbes’ previous list.

“Grown Ups” star Adam Sandler ($40 million) and Will Smith ($36 million) were also ranked high, taking third and fourth places on the list.

Tom Cruise brings up the rear at No. 10, pulling in $22 million in the same period, Forbes estimates.

But as if you didn’t need proof Hollywood is a man’s world, Cruise’s earnings would rank him at No. 5 on the highest-paid actresses list for the same year, just between Reese Witerspoon ($28 million) and Julia Roberts ($20 million).

The 10 top actors earned an estimated $375 million between May 2010 and May 2011.

To come up with its numbers Forbes writes that it talked to agents, lawyers, producers and industry sources.

Today’s hottest news revolving around the music industry is, the very famous JAL the band with Gohar Mumtaz, Farhan Saeed and their third bassist Shazi got separated. This is not new with this band since the beginning. From the starting days with a wonder hit Aadat and band members Atif Aslam and Gohar Mumtaz, the band got into all sort of controversies and both Atif Aslam and Gohar Mumtaz played the blame game and got parted ways just after 1 song and video. Both Atif Aslam and the remaining Jal The Band released their albums and become an instant hit in Pakistan and abroad.
After their first album release yet again JAL the band came into the news for all the wrong reasons. This time they had a fight with their manager and chairman of the Jilawatan Productions Khurram Khan and Gohar Mumtaz again. Gohar insisted the band to visit India without their manager since he cannot afford to miss this golden opportunity.

And now its between Farhan Saeed and Gohar Mumtaz. We have been told by the sources that Farhan Saeed is quite upset with the fact that Gohar Mumtaz is acting as a big hurdle in his success and keeping him down. Farhan Saeed having a charming voice with amazing numbers coming out from his side since his inclusion in the band however Gohar Mumtaz always jumped in with his rather out of tone voice and shivering guitar cords. Both Farhan and Goher recently participated in Coke Studio’s season 4 with 2 songs under their name. However both songs unable to make any impression within the program itself and gone with the wind. According to sources the rift between the band members got to another level after the Coke Studio episode and in Farhan’s opinion Gohar never listen to his ideas about doing music instead he was more interested into to get with Miss Baloch and therefore he insisted the producer to add her up for a song. However Farhan told us with a grin that QB was a smart girl and she knows well the type of Gohar Mumtaz. Farhan said he think that we can do allot better in Coke Studio if he gets more air time with the mic. Another major reason for Farhan’s depart is that Gohar has recently appeared in a drama on a-plus and he want to persue a career in acting as well.

Farhan said he want to continue making music and would like to work on his solo album in some time. He added that he has cherishable memories with the band and JAL the band was his identity and he will be always close to his heart. But it is very hard to work with a self centered punk as Gohar Mumtaz and that leads me to this decision.

Since opening on Friday, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, took £23 million in the UK and Ireland.

It eclipsed the previous £18 million record held by the last Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, released last year.

The film, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, took 168 million dollars (£104 million) in the US and Canada from Friday to Sunday, beating the record previously held by 2008′s Batman blockbuster The Dark Knight..

So far, it has taken an estimated 476 million dollars (£296 million) globally.

Josh Berger, president and managing director of Warner Bros Entertainment UK and Ireland, said: “After a decade of Harry Potter films, the final film is truly a cultural phenomenon.

“We are thrilled with this astounding response and we would like to thank all Harry Potter fans across the UK and Ireland.

“These incredible results are a testament to the incredible achievement of the filmmakers, cast, and, of course, JK. Rowling, and will ensure the film series a place in history for years to come.”

Directed by David Yates, the film’s cast also includes Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon and John Hurt.

Veena Malik Accident

Veena Malik car crashed in an accident on Motorway while she was travelling from Islamabad to Lahore.

The accident took place while Veena was travelling to Lahore after meeting her family in Islamabad. The accident took place eight kilometres away from Thokar Niaz Beg.

According to Veena’s manager Sohail Rashid, she was driving a black Honda City. “There were two guards and two other people with her while she was driving herself,” he said. “A speeding vehicle overtook Veena’s car, hit its side door and went ahead. The car spun out of balance and collided.”

One of the occupants of the car, who was seated next to Veena, said, “It seems as if they deliberately hit our car. We couldn’t see their faces. They hit us and saw our car colliding. They would have stopped had they hit us by mistake.”

Veena was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state. “The family does not want to disclose her location right now for security reasons. The doctors say she is stable and will be discharged soon but they have advised rest since she has suffered a mental shock,” Rashid told Media

“The doctors are hopeful she will be discharged in a day. She will take some rest and then announce herself about her plans,” a family.

Veena suffered injuries on her shoulder, arms and legs and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Lahore. A source close to Veena quoted her mother as saying that Veena’s “condition is out of danger and she is stable now.”

This is just because too much of Freedom of Speech. Cultures must be somehow protect the values of other religions. A swimsuit finally caused abuse.

A swimsuit featuring a print of Hindu goddess LAKSHMI has caused quite a stir within the religious and cultural communities. the Lisa Blue spring 2011 catwalk at Australian fashion week, but the swimsuit below fast became the most popular photo on current publication.

Lisa Blue recently sent the number walking at Australian Fashion Week. It features a vibrant image of Lakshmi across the front and along the rear.

The label was called out by Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, who “said that it was disturbing to see goddess Lakshmi, who was highly revered in Hinduism, on a swimwear displayed by a model at a fashion show. Lakshmi was meant to be worshipped in temples or home shrines and not for pushing swimwear in fashion shows for mercantile greed of an apparel company,” according to the North India Times.

Fashionising also reported receiving tons of comments after posting a model wearing the swimsuit in question on its site: “Largely aimed at the label and its designer Lisa Burke, they’ve ranged from statements of concern to mild slurs, and at the other end of the spectrum have also included curses and all out death threats.”
