Pakistan’s deadliest floods in decades killed more than 2000 people and overwhelmed government efforts to provide aid, officials and relief workers said. More than 2000 people have died in Pakistan’s northwestern province, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said Noor Muhammad, a press officer for the provincial development ministry. Government and private relief agencies are managing to provide “only 5 percent of what’s required,” Mujahid Khan, provincial spokesman for the Edhi Foundation, which runs Pakistan’s largest ambulance and rescue services, said by phone from Peshawar.

According to United Nations , about more than 13 Million people affected from this flood, more than Tsunami.

Officials in Pakistan’s other provinces — Punjab, Sindh and Baluchistan — braced for the floodwaters moving down the Indus River and its tributaries. The Sindh government ordered residents evacuated from locales along the Indus.

The floods, which according to U.K. charity Oxfam may be Pakistan’s worst in 85 years, may cut the production of rice, sugarcane and corn by about 10 percent to 15 percent, said Nasir Cheema, president of Pakistan’s Chamber of Agriculture.

Pakistani television networks showed survivors clinging to trees or debris in muddy, raging mountain rivers.

Sarhad Rural Support Programme

Concerned citizens based in Lahore are collecting relief items for the Sarhad Rural Support Programme, the largest NGO in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. SRSP’s experience and size make it the most suitable choice for donations at this time. They are a part of the Rural Support Programmes Network (rspn.org), founded by Shoaib Sultan Khan, who was nominated for the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize (along with President Obama and others).

People may make donations directly to SRSP, write crossed cheques to us in favor of SRSP or donate relief goods directly to them (which will then be loaded on to trucks headed for SRSP warehouses in Peshawar. People are also welcome to join in the effort of loading the trucks and actually making the trip to the affected areas to see the profound difference their generosity makes in the lives of so many.

INTERNATIONAL CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS:

Trocaire (an Irish NGO that’s funding Noor Education Trust, Rural Development Project and Pakistan Village Development Program):

Trócaire has already launched an emergency appeal and committed €200,000 to help families and communities in the north west of the country.

In Peshawar district, one of the worst affected areas, Trócaire’s partners have already begun working in 4 villages where 10,000 people need food, water and support.

Trócaire has been working in Pakistan for over 20 years, making it well placed to respond quickly to this disaster and get help quickly to where it’s needed most.

Cecil Dunne, Pakistan emergency officer says the situation is really desperate for over thousands of families who have been forced from their homes. “This is a terrible situation for families and communities who only a year ago had their lives turned upside down by widespread violence in this area and now they are on the run again from flooding. The thing is that the monsoon season hasn’t even started yet so people here are very vulnerable and need immediate help.”

this article, as it is and in full with my personally formatted content has been copied from my blog/website i.e. http://www.haqeeqat.org/
Its good to pass on a public service message, BUT since original credits and references have been entirely removed, it is an unethical job for Jago news to publish it this way. I request them to kindly remain civil and in-line with ethics.
Below is the URL to original article which was originally posted on my blog 5 days ago.

    • admin says:

Omer bhai i am sorry for not stating the ultimate credit to Haqeeqat.org, which now you could see. And , i copied because that was a public service message , i thought my links and my network would going to promote this more , for this i took this message from you.

I am sorry if you felt that this is your personal interest and not interested to promote best written message as it is than i would remove this message written by you. I am just amazed that everything is written for guidelines to help victims and addresses and details of welfare organization. And at the end , you yourself quoted to spread this message. And , now ethical things coming. When there is an urgency we must think in collective interest , rather to think in personal interest.

  2. Join Admin says:

@Omer I agree it is very unethical and in fact illegal as well to publish content from other websites without their permission and consent. This proves that this website is not worth it and they are just copy pasting content from other portals. However I want to take your permission to post these contacts on our website for the sake of spreading the word.

We will also publish link to your website as credits for the content information.

    • admin says:

I just want to say you this , Please understand for which you are publishing the message. Your are not concerned about that some good message is being published , People like you should stand with some Political party who always think about their personal interest.

You are even not caring about situation , everyone has its chain , links and it creates networks to spread needy message from different mediums. But here you are interested in personal interest.

      SOrry to say.!

      • OmEr Jamil says:

Bro, I highly appreciate your prompt reply and the quick resolution from your side. Actually, you’re not understanding my point! I’m not the author of that piece, Sam Mirza is! And the content rights belong to ‘em, not me or to Haqeeqat.Org. There are dozens of authors at Haqeeqat.Org who publish their write-ups with us, both directly and indirectly. And we at back-end, have to respect their rights of having the very credits they so possess!!!

I asked you to mention the credits. Had it been written by me, I would let it go without even a single word.

Secondly, like I said on Facebook, I appreciated that the public service message was being shared, I still am happy and thankful to you for sharing it. Kindly consider my humble request no offense as I, in no way wished to make it one!

I hope you’d now understand the clearer situation.

    • admin says:

2nd You are talking about copy paste , http://www.haqeeqat.org/2010/08/04/intelligence-experts-warn-obama-israel-may-bomb-iran-this-month/ have you seen this article , should i need to tell you or not that from where you have copied this material?

      • OmEr Jamil says:

No you don’t really need to, because if you would, you’d again be much mistaken as your tone sounds to be offensive to me now.

Let me tell you where I got thing article from: Direct from the author and by mentioning their credits as they are :-) And I’m sure you didn’t read Haqeeqat.Org’s bottom-lined copyright policy either! That, my brother, is the way when you share stuff over internet. That is actually why people on facebook use “via @…” etc pointing and directing terms which now facebook itself has adopted in its code. Anyway, if and when you are civil, just remain ethical, honor, appreciate and give the content writer/owner/provider their due acknowledgment.

You and I are comrades in a way, as we host something kind of similar. There are things I could learn from your work and there could be things you could learn from my work. We should refrain from being offensive to each other for the world is round. We should rather stand as one for one purpose and one mission and take it further to masses in a literate manner.

        Bests regards and wishes :-)

    • OmEr Jamil says:

@Join Admin: You’re more than welcome to share images, videos, text, link to videos, images, text, pdf etc in any way you’d like to. That would be a pleasure, Comrade!

Secondly, Waqas log are doing a great job, I highly appreciate them and their work. Sometimes things slip off from mind and its not a big deal at all. We shouldn’t become instantly judgmental and reject a thing/an individual/an organization for just one mistake. We should rather weigh the issue and suggest to its positive resolution which I believe, now we have.

It’s all cool. Lets be mutually good to motherland.

      Good day :-)

  3. good!it’s very useful!thx!
