Cricket Chaos in Pakistan

Pakistan lost the first match from Australia in two match test series at Lords. Short afterwords the newly appointed skipper Shahid Afridi resigned quoting that he is not fit for the test cricket and decided to retire from this format. When in a press conference asked from Ricky Ponting about such reaction from Pakistani captain , he replied in a funny manner saying that “its not a new thing in Pakistani Cricket.” His such stance reflects the whole chaos prevailing at the moment in Pakistani cricket.

Despite of playing and concentrating on cricket , the players use to be engaged in fighting with each other. Such honor a common person could not imagine , to become an ambassador of your country and to represent your country team in foreign fields. But alas! Our player body language does not reflects in such a way. On the other hand Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which should react as a strong body has made a mess of the situation. The chairman of PCB and other board officials have their problems and in all together this is a blow for cricket lovers in the country.

Fortunately, Pakistan won the second test match again bowlers were dominant only. Pakistani team were rewarded with 500,000 Pak Rupees , for their victory against Aussies after 15 years. However , Shahid Afridi was not in that team. We may say this , that was a lucky week for PCB , but not for Pakistani cricket team. Because the team was not strong from batting prospect as it should be , and due to that win we steps with the same team in ground against England . And , as everyone knows English team just shattered not only Pakistani batting but bowling. How long bowlers would going to support alone?

Now the question arise , how should we make improvements in such situations? In my opinion if you want to revive the spirit of cricket in Pakistan the best solution is to introduce the game as an institution. The cricket board should work on the lines of modern techniques. Every decision of the board should be made accountable. The chairman should not be the whole authority, rather it should be a collective body.

Besides, another important step that should be taken in this connection to encourage the domestic cricket. For this , the initial step is to raise the standards at club cricket. Chances should be marked for youngsters and deserving persons for positive cricket. Create such a revolutionary atmosphere and to spread it in remote areas of country. Through such encouragement young kids will avail maximum exposure to express their talent. It should be number of first class teams to provide quality cricket.

At present there is much suffocation in our young stars in the undeveloped far flung  areas due to terrorism and economic problems the promotion of the games specially cricket will spread highly positive effects on the new generation. Our Board can easily hunt the talent from these areas.
