Bipasha Basu breaks the ice with Salman Khan

Bipasha Basu is mending her fences in Bollywood with inspired zeal. After patching up with Kareena Kapoor during a recent awards show in Sri Lanka, she has taken the initiative in extending an olive branch to Salman Khan, with whom she hasn’t shared the best of relations in recent years.

Our source said, “Salman and Bipasha could not see eye to eye. Salman had a big showdown with John Abraham during an overseas show some years ago. That rivalry is still on — Salman and John are still not on talking terms. During the shooting of Boney Kapoor’s No Entry , Salman gave a tough time to Bipasha who finally complained to Boney. It was only because of Boney’s son Arjun that the schedule could proceed further. In Colombo, Salman threw some parties in his hotel room for his Bollywood friends and Bipasha also walked in. Though Salman initially gave her a cold shoulder, Bipasha broke the ice. She went up to him and thanked him for the good time. Salman loosened up after that. The next day, when Bipasha came to party with them, Salman was warm towards her. That signalled the end of the five year old war between them.”

When contacted, Bipasha Basu said, “I don’t know why it is called a ‘patch up’. There have been no issues between us. I met him at the awards ceremony, where he did a fabulous job at all the events. He was very warm to me when I met him.”

Konkona Sen Sharma became a mother of a baby boy yesterday, early morning at a South Mumbai hospital.
They are still debating the name of their son. The couple will visit a temple after the new mom is discharged from the hospital by the end of this week.
