India Crashes against Aussies

Yuvraj Singh Bowled out

Australia beat India by huge margin of 49 runs to not only beat India but also helped their net run rate to sky-rocket to +2.45. After put into bat by Indian captain M.S.Dhoni, they plundered all Indian bowlers and compiled huge 184/5 in their 20 overs. Thanks to some good bowling in the last five over which restricted Australia to below 200 run mark other wise they were looked quite comfortable to get pass 200 run in their 20 overs.

R.Jadeja taken most of the hammering from Australian opening duo Shane Watson (54 runs of 32 balls) and David Warner (72 runs of 42 balls) as both smashed him for six sixes in the space of 12 deliveries bowled by him.

David Hussey (32 runs of 22 balls) capitalize on the start given by their opener to help Australia to post daunting task for the Indians.

Chasing the target of 185 for victory, Indian batting once again exposed by the Australian fast bowler Dirk Nannes (3/25) and S.Tait (3/21) with the short pitched bowling. All top order batsmen failed to cope up with the short pitched stuff. Apart from Rohit Sharma (79 runs of 46 balls) and Harbhajan Sigh (13 runs of 11 balls) no Indian batsmen able to reach even double figure mark.

At one stage Indians were struggling at 50/7 in the 11th over, but thanks to quick fire partnership between Rohit Sharma and Harbhajan Singh of 47 runs from 24 balls which saved India from embarrassing defeat. In the end India finally bowled out for 135 runs in 17.4 overs.

With this horrible performance, now India in a danger of knocked out of the competition, they have to win their remaining two super eight games against West Indies and Sri Lanka by quite a few margin if they would like to reach semi final of twenty20 world cup 2010.

David Warner was declared Man of the Match for his blistering 72 runs of 42 balls.
