Swedish Princess Engagement, Breaks Off

Swedish Royal Court says Princess Madeleine has broken off her engagement with fiance Jonas Bergstrom.

In a statement from the Royal Court in Stockholm on Saturday, the couple is described as “going separate ways” and that they together have decided that that is the best for them.

Madeleine Therese Amelie Josephine – the Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Halsingland and Gastrikland – is the youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

She has two older siblings, Crown Princess Victoria who is getting married to her fiance Daniel Westling in June and Prince Carl Philip.
